If you have multiple versions of php installed, then uninstall each till there is one left. The one left is not marked as default. This is a bug in my opinion, as if there is only one php installed, it should be by default, the default :)
To recreate, have multiple versions of php installed. Set one that you are going to uninstall as the default, then remove until one non default verison is left.
