Full backups can take a lot of space over time and create a lot of unneeded data. For bigger projects I'd really love to have the option to use incremental backups for x-days and than re-start with a full backup (Plesk for example does the same).

I'm using restic too for servers provisioned by ploi. I'm using also the "autorestic" wrapper which is very simple to implement.

Using resting would allow us to have very efficient backups (streaming, compression, incremental, hooks) and also would be way easier for Ploi to manage them.

Ploi could make something for us to configure autorestic .yml file from our panel, and maybe a GUI that calls proper restic commands to show backed up files and snapshots.

This would be a dream and will definitely solve any backup problem Ploi is having.

Merged Add incremental file backups based on Restic into this item \n\n Created by: Angel \n\n When managing big sites and databases, full backups are not efficient. So incremental backups will be a great addition to ploi so it can be activated. I think Restic is now the best open source solution for this. https://github.com/restic/restic
