All EC2 instances should have an elastic IP associated. This ensures that the public IP stays the same over its life. A free elastic IP is included with any instance because this is best practice. If Ploi could add a checkbox to create a new elastic IP and associate it with the new EC2 instance, that would be epic. It can't be done later manually because that would change the public IP.
