Hi folks,

I love ploi.io so far, but I'm missing a feature that is very important for my workflow which might be a low hanging fruit for you.

Most of my WordPress project are essentially stored as a wordpress theme in my git. Meaning, that when I want to deploy them, I need to deploy them to the specific folder in oppose to the root.

It would be great to be able to define which folder do we want the git repository to be cloned in. I even made a litte sketch :)

Edit: Bonus points - deploying a specific folder from a git repository to a specific folder on a server. It can be useful for deploying monorepos to multiple ploi sites/apps.

I also need this. I worked around this limitation with a complex setup.

If anyone else is still waiting for this feature - this is my workaround:

  • Set up main site with the desired structure
  • Set up additional site as "Git Deployment" and symlink it into main site's desired path
