I noticed every single provisioning service (forge, ploi, etc) uses full fat Ubuntu as an option, but never the much leaner Debian it is based on. Internally we have always preferred Debian as our base OS on servers and it not being offered is one of the reason we tend to avoid provisioning services altogether.

I would love to see Debian as an option for provisioning new servers. Since you already support Ubuntu, it should be pretty easy to just modify a few things and have it work exactly the same way for new installs. DigitalOcean for example allows you to spin up new droplets with Debian so VPS services do actually support it, just seemingly no provisioning services.

This would be a big win for our team specifically and a few others we work with.

I'd like to bump this. @Ploi please support Debian alongside Ubuntu for performance reasons.

Once @Dennis has implemented IPv6 this would be the next request I would vote up, however v6 is pressing, this is just a very nice thing to have. :)

Also voting on this, please at least support a Plain Server custom installation - this way we can keep using Ploi monitoring for VMs running for example Proxmox Backup Server.
