Digital ocean has a vpc_uuid that can be set at server creation https://docs.digitalocean.com/reference/api/api-reference/#operation/droplets_create
You can't just switch to a different VPC in Digitial Ocean. You have to create a snapshot and spin up a separate server from the snapshot in the desired VPC and then delete the other server. But you can assign it at server creation.
So what you're saying is that when you choose DO, it should get the VPCs from your account (e.g. https://docs.digitalocean.com/reference/api/api-reference/#operation/vpcs_list) and you'll be able to select that in a dropdown when creating a server?
This will really be cool because we are using existing AWS Aurora database and it needs to be in the same vpc, or we are going to have to recreate the database.
Merged Ability to select a VPC when creating a new server (AWS EC2) into this item
Created by: Alexis Riot
Hello,
Actually, we are not able to select the VPC on which we want to create the server using AWS EC2. It's a major problem, because we cannot use Ploi.IO if we have multiple VPC.
It's something that already exist on concurrent platforms.
We absolutely need it for my company to perform the entire migration.
Thanks a lot!
Any update on this? It is quite a critical feature for us
