It would be great if I could select which database version is getting installed. Currently it say MySQL 8 in the selection.

There is already MySQL 8.4 LTS available: https://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/8.4/en/mysql-releases.html

MySQL 8.0 will receive Premiert Support until 30 April 2025 and Extended support until 30 April 2026, which would make supporting MySQL 8.4 better, which has Premier support until 30 April 2029 und Extended Support until 30 Apr 2032: See https://endoflife.date/mysql
