When trying to change the system user on a site, which uses zero downtime deployment, there is an info that this isn't currently supported.

So, if you deactivate the zero downtime deployment option to proceed, the process will move the symlink to the correct system user, but leaves the deployment folder in the old users folder.

Secondly this will result in the false user / permission for the deployed files.

A Reset permission would only effect the symlink folder.

I understand, but at that point youre really hacking as we did gave the warning.

If you then disable ztd and still move the user, as warned; it won’t work. The alert is there for a reason, and provides a solution to recreate the site.

For now this is a no-fix, as ztd moving support is coming soon.

Hi Dennis,

I must admit, I thought disabling the ztd option will revert the folder structure. So after this, one could change the system user.

I did not read this from the info message.

But after all, since it will be available soon even for ztd sites, it’s no prio for me.

You may use @ to mention someone.

Changing system user on (previously) zero downtime deployment sites won't change / move deployment data
