I ran into a strange problem that I have never seen before. It has been a long time since I had to install WordPress in a manner that was not fully automated. By that, I mean the site was fully created, including the admin user and associated password.

After installing WordPress on a server managed by ploi.io, I installed WordPress. I was prompted for some information. No matter what I entered for the password, I received an error message that the password strength was unknown. I used a password manager to generate extremely long and complex passwords varying from 20 to over 90 characters, but the message would not disappear unless I clicked the box to confirm usage of a weak password.

I researched this a bit and found that this has happened in some cases. The resolution to this issue seems to be elusive and varied. All I can say is that it happens on this server recently deployed using the ploi.io control panel; however, I downloaded and installed WordPress on a different server and the problem did not appear.

Why do I think this is a bug on the ploi.oi platform? I went back to the old days as it were, and created a new app on a different server using a different control panel. I uploaded WordPress version 6.3.2 manually, uploaded the unzipped files to the empty directory, then ran the installation. I received different password strength indications as I typed a password. I finally pasted the same strong password I had tried on the ploi.io site and it was accepted as a strong password: https://prnt.sc/TTccDouU-4Hv
