I would like to request a new API feature that allows associating a database with a site.

Currently, when a database is duplicated using the API, the newly created database is not linked to any site. While this can be done through the web interface, I could not find a way to achieve the same result via the API.

This limitation makes it difficult to fully automate site provisioning and deployment workflows. Our infrastructure is managed entirely through automation, and we use the API to create sites, duplicate databases, restore backups, and perform other deployment tasks. The inability to attach a duplicated database to a site means that part of the process still requires manual intervention through the web interface.

Ideally, one of the following approaches would solve the problem:

Allow specifying the target site_id when calling the Duplicate Database endpoint. Introduce a dedicated API endpoint to associate an existing database with a site after it has been created or duplicated.

Either option would make it possible to automate the entire deployment workflow without any manual steps.
