Key Dates:
- February 1st, 2025: Composer 1.x metadata will become read-only. No new packages or new versions will be visible for Composer 1.x users after this date.
- August 1st, 2025: Composer 1.x metadata access will be entirely shut down. Attempting to update packages using Composer 1.x will no longer work.
I think @Dennis already has a plan for this. Maybe it can be outlined here and be moved to in progress.

So it may be worthwhile to continue supporting ist, though I am not sure If any customers are still using Composer v1.
Servers older than 2023 still have this option to switch (because there's still quite a few on 1) to version 2, so the card will still appear on those. Servers newer than that do not have the card anymore.
