# Add DNS record management and DNS settings to the public API

Feature request: Please expose DNS record management and DNS settings endpoints in the public API.

Currently missing from the public API:

POST /api/servers/{server}/sites/{site}/dns-records - Create DNS records (panel uses POST /panel/servers/{server}/sites/{site}/dns-records)
PATCH /api/servers/{server}/sites/{site}/update-dns-settings - Update DNS provider/credential/zone (panel uses PATCH /panel/servers/{server}/sites/{site}/update-dns-settings)
The GET endpoints exist but write operations are not exposed. This would enable full automation of site setup workflows via the API. Thank you!

Any timeline for this? At present I can automate 95% of creating a new site with MCP/API, but setting the DNS zone has to be done manually each time.
