# Ability to add variables to custom backup name

It would be awesome if you could pass certain variables to your custom backup name such as the date, server name etc.

When I set a custom name and specify that, for example, 6 backups should be retained, it doesn’t work. The backup gets overwritten (tested with custom S3 storage).
