Custom S3 driver is now available as well, use any S3 server! 😍
If all goes well in testing, we'll be releasing DigitalOcean spaces backup support today! 🎉
A generic WebDAV driver might not be such a bad idea either. pCloud supports WebDAV, for instance.
Hanving support for UpCloud Object Storage would be great because Ploi.io already supports setting up a server on UpCloud. Their object storage is S3 compatible so shouldn’t be difficult.
+1 for Microsoft OneDrive/OneDrive (they are the same thing I think). Even in the Microsoft 365 Family pack, it gives you 1TB. And you can have 6 users on the same pack. So, we can practically have 6TB of storage for 99€/year (less than 1.4€/TB/month), which is a lot more than the other services for personal/small business use cases.
+1 for Wasabi storage
I'd like to clarify - rather than adding each of these services independently, can we add an "S3 compatible driver" with a custom endpoint URL first? That would allow support for B2 and Spaces initially, as well as many smaller third-party backup services implicitly, rather than having to add them one by one.
+ "Wasabi" can be in this list.
Is this a solution through Wasabi?
The possibility to choose in what directory the backup should be stored in, TransIP STACK has different keys and users to restrict everything. But at this point it's not possible to choose the directory so everything will be placed in the root directory.
This is done over sFTP or WebDav if you support this
S3-compatible servers like Backblaze B2 or Wasabi are not yet supported, correct? If so, I'd really like to vote for B2 - servers in Europe, and a much simpler interface than amazon s3, so much more compatible to ploi, IMHO :-)
Digital Ocean Spaces
(Doing S3 Compatible settings will enable the above and any future)
Allow backups (For google drive) to go into the account of the person setting up the backup rather than the owner of the server.
I have a client whose server its managed through ploi, they would like a backup into their own google account but can't set it up since I made the server.
You've asked me this on the ticket as well, but did you ask your client to share the folder with you so you can grab that ID and still be able to upload to it? :)
Hi Dennis, linking Google Drive requires to "See, edit, create and delete all of your Google Drive files.". Can't that be limited to a specific Ploi folder as you do for Dropbox?
How about S3-compatible support? Like Wasabi?
I would love to see the S3 backup driver included now that we have Amazon as a server provider. Maybe it works with the same credentials since they are master key/secret?
