I think this feature or something like it is very important if you have lots of sites on many servers with many databases. I am finding it very hard to keep track of which sites I have set up backups for, and making sure I have not missed any.

I think a quick way of achieving this would be to simply have all lists of sites and databases simply say whether backups have been set up in the list item. For example linode has a column in the node list called "last backup" and an example value would be "never" or "9 hours ago" etc. Clicking on the status brings up the configuration window.
Something like this could be a quick win for usability and not require an entirely new interface.
This would turn the overview "sites" screen into an overall file backups summary. And maybe a similar "all databases" screen could be added in the future that would serve a similar purpose.

I'd love an overview of all backup types as well. I am just thinking UI wise how to pull this off properly, we want to prevent from the left sidebar to fill up with a lot of navigational options. (In this case we think less === more)

Any suggestions on how to pull it off UI wise properly are welcome.

Maybe an additional timeline view too

I think a list of the backups and next to them is the time they're scheduled for, you could then add backup schedules from there for sites. This would be nice because you could setup database and file backups to occur at the same time and do it in one modal

How would you like to see this UI wise?
